December
- Prune trees BEFORE the snow, wind and ice come. This
may help prevent any damage to your house or yard from
falling limbs.
- Give the entrance to your home some curb appeal by
adding plastic pots filled with evergreen sprigs to make
a beautiful display for the holidays.
- Get organized! Make a drawing of your gardens and label
the plants that are in the beds. Then make a list of flowers
or shrubs you may want to add or remove next spring. If
you cannot remember the name - no problem! - Just bring
a piece of the plant to the garden center and someone
will identify it for you.
- Planning a new bed next year? Start now! The Garden
Center staff will be more than happy to help you. Should
you have a larger project; most landscapers have slowed
down for the season and are readily available to help
bring your visions to reality.
- Get any repair or maintenance done on your gardening
equipment while the repair shops are slow - be ready to
go when spring arrives!
